Meet the Sevenoaks Contingent!
Meet Sevenoaks Scout's Participants for the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea 2023!
Each of the participants made it through a challenging selection process to be selected to attend and will spend their time between now and the summer of 2023 fundraising for the Jamboree and preparing for their journey!
The Participants
Ben
Ben is an explorer scout from fourth Sevenoaks St John who goes to Puxty explorer group every Monday. He will be attending the World Scout Jamboree in the summer of 2023 in South Korea.
Maia
Maia was a Scout at the 16th Ide Hill Scouts, and since applying for the Jamboree has joined the Beaufighters Explorer Scout Unit in Edenbridge as well as becoming a Young Leader at the 12th Edenbridge.
Lily
Lily is a member of the Puxty Explorer Unit having joined the movement from Girl Guiding.
Aiden
Aiden is a Scout at the 6th Kemsing Scout Group.
Ed
Ed is a Young Leader at the 17th Westerham Scout Group, and since applying for the Jamboree has joined the Beaufighters Explorer Scout Unit.
James
James was a Scout at the 3rd Sevenoaks Scout Group and joined the Sevenoaks team late after an extra place was gained. He is now an Explorer with the Holmesdale Unit and a Young Leader with the 3rd Sevenoaks Scout Group.
Laura
Laura is an Explorer Scout at Holmsdale Explorer Unit having recently moved from the Puxty Unit. She is also a Young Leader at the 15th Otford Scout Group.
Shannon
Shannon is a member of the Beaufighters Explorer Scout Unit, having joined the unit during COVID lockdown from 12th Edenbridge Scouts
The Adults
Rob
Rob is a Unit Leader for the Kent Contingent and will be taking some of our Young People to the Jamboree!
Erik
Erik will be attending the WSJ as a member of the International Service Team (IST)
Max
Max will be attending the WSJ as a member of the International Service Team (IST) having been a participant at the 24th WSJ in West Virginia.
Felix
Felix will be attending the WSJ as a member of the International Service Team (IST). Felix attended the 24th World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia in 2019 as a participant.
